Where to place your greenhouse?

There is no clear definitive answer for this. It would be superb to be able to place the Greenhouse onto rotatable plate, but that is hardly possible.

The ideal location of the greenhouse is North - South or East - West. It does however depend on what you want to achieve. Eg. how early in the year you want to start your greenhouse activities? Do you have glass or polycarbonate? What plants do you want to grow? The Following guidelines are only indicative as there are as many opinions on this topic as there are gardeners. But it's very good starting advice for first time buyers.
Where to place the greenhouse in relation to the sun?
The location North - South ideal if you have a greenhouse with glass. When the sun rises in the east, is quickly gets heated. When the sun at noon is in the south with the narrow side facing the sun will be less hot. When the sun sets in the west the greenhouse will be conatcntly heated untill sundown.

EW is optimal for those who want an early start on spring, and for you who have chosen a greenhouse with polycarbonate. Early in the spring comes mostly light from SE to SW, and with the broad side of the greenhouse facing south you will get most light for your plants. This is especially important for greenhouses with polycarbonate as this will extend the season further.

A good advice on wind condition

Windy conditions cools down the core temperature of the greenhouse, so make sure to shelter the greenhouse insofar possible, for example through a hedge, a fence or other vegetation.

Do not to place the greenhouse too close to large trees. They provide shade for the greenhouse, and falling branches may damage glass and profiles. Want to use the greenhouse as a small patio? It may be a good idea to place it in such a way that the house is sheltered from the sun during the midday.
