How to install polycarbonate |
Polycarbonate is very quick and easy to install. The sheets are all one length and they are mounted using plastic clips. |
| The frame is degreased with acetone, to get the best fitting. | The polycarbonate sheets does only have UV-protection on one side marked with a label. It is important that you install it right otherwise it will crumble after a few years, and the guarantee will be invalidated. | |
| The sheets are delivered with a protective covering which you have to peel off before mounted in the greenhouse. | Leave the white labe on the sheet until you have installed it. Otherwiese it is difficult to see which side should face outwards. | |
| Sand the edge of the polycarbonate sheets, to make the silicone seat more effectively onces it its glued. | Put on a 3 mm thick line of silicone onto the frame. (Silicone is not nessecary for 6 and 10 mm polycarbonate) |
| The A-lists are installed into the top of the section as shown. The "flap" of the list are pushed into the profile in the top. In some cases the list has to be fitted in the gables, by cutting the length. The polycarbonate sheets for Carport, Gardener and MU-Luxe models are mounted with a u-lists in stead. They are mounted directly onto the sheets in the top and buttom. That means that you have to glue them to the frame at the top and buttom. |
The A-list are mounted onto the bottom of the sections in the same way. | |
| Press the polycarbonate sheet into the A-list. | The you push the polycarbonate sheet into the top A-list. Remember to turn the polycarbonate sheet the right way round. |
| Then you fix the M-lists into the sides. You start from the top and push the liste in between the frame and the polycarbonate sheet. It has to "click" before it is mounted correctly. |
When the polycarbonate sheets are mounted, you can remove the white label with "this side out". |
